Years Fascination With Deer

For years I have been fascinated with deer.  I wrote a devotional for a church for nine years and the title of the devotional was “GOOD THIRSTY MORNING” after Psalm 42.  Then a few weeks ago, I live in the heart of a big Metropolis and five deer were in my back yard just three feet from me.  I have been told that it is extremely unheard of for a male deer with antlers to be in the city, but they came to me. There was a daddy deer, a mama deer, and three babies.  Every morning now I go to my window around 6:00 to 6:30 am to see if they are there.  I haven’t seen them since and it feels like I’ve lost some dear friends.  I want so much to see them again.

Another exciting factor about this is that there were five of them.  I love the number five because biblical numerology speaks of five as the number for grace.

Habakkuk 3:19 The Lord GOD is my strength, and He has made my feet like hinds’ feet and makes me walk on my high places.  (For the choir director, on my stringed instruments.)

Psalm 18:31-33 (31) for who is God, but the LORD?  And who is a rock, except our God? (32) The God who girds me with strength and makes my way blameless?  (33) He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me upon my high places.

II Samuel 22:29-34 (29) “For You are my lamp, O LORD; And the LORD illumines my darkness.  (30) “For by You I can run upon a troop; By my God, I can leap over a wall.  (31) “As for God, His way is blameless; the word of the LORD is tested; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.  (32) “For who is God, besides the LORD? And who is a rock, besides our God? (33) “God is my strong fortress, And He sets the blameless in His way.  (34) “He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me on my high places.

Psalm 42:1As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God.”

As I mentioned earlier the devotional I wrote was: “Good Thirsty Morning”, Psalm 42:1 is the scripture I named it after.  Each morning our souls should thirst after The Lord our God!  How thirsty is your soul?

Throwaway Society

THROWAWAY SOCIETY

We live in a throwaway society.  People buy furniture and in a year they are tired of it and go out and buy new.  Had a car for two years oh well it is not new enough let’s get a new one.  My wife or husband, I don’t like the way they act, so it’s time for a new one.

What happened to restoration?  If people just put a new look to their already owned stuff we could save a lot of money in America.  It used to be that a girl learned to sew at an early age and making clothes was so much cheaper.  Now it cost more to make your own clothes. Not to mention you can hardly find cloth anymore to buy.

There would be no need for buying overseas goods.  Think of the money that could be saved.

Grab ahold of this and think … it all stems from the root of ungratefulness.  I know I sound like a broken record, but check out the bible.  The first chapter of Romans shows how ungratefulness can lead to immoral behavior and then to the downfall of society.

Also, there is a mentality of it’s too hard to make a relationship work.  It’s too hard to sew my own clothes.  People want instant gratification.  Then what happens?  The next gratification isn’t good enough so let’s move on to the next.

Let’s take a look at the word restoration:

restore vb (tr)

1. to return (something, esp a work of art or building) to an original or former condition

2. to bring back to health, good spirits, etc.

3. to return (something lost, stolen, etc.) to its owner

4. to reintroduce or re-enforce to restore discipline

5. to reconstruct (an extinct animal, former landscape, etc.)

[from Old French, from Latin r?staur?re to rebuild, from re- + -staur?re, as in instaur?re to renew]

re·store tr.v. re·stored, re·stor·ing, re·stores

1. To bring back into existence or use; reestablish: restore law and order.

2. To bring back to an original condition: restore a building.

3. To put (someone) back in a former position: restore the emperor to the throne.

4. To make restitution of; give back: restore the stolen funds.

Leonardo Da Vinci’s LAST SUPPER had a major overhaul.  The candles over the years had given it a layer of soot that darkened it.  The new restoration made the WOW factor unbelievable.  People could hardly believe how bright and vibrant the colors became.

People can restore relationships, but it takes work.  Something this society doesn’t relish anymore.  I’d like to challenge people to begin to think about this, but Americans are too busy buying new things and having to overwork to pay for them to give a NEW well OLD idea a chance.

People used to sit outside at their homes and get to know their neighbors.  They would cross the street sit out on their porches talk and play games.  Now they are inside resting from their jobs, they have to pay for the NEW things they feel they need.

What is it going to take AMERICA a crashing down of our country to wake us up???

The Saggy Pants Saga

The Saggy Pants Saga

Saggy pants got you down?  The pun is definitely intended.   Once upon a time back in the ’40s poor people couldn’t afford belts or even a rope to keep their pants up and low and behold they sagged down exposing the otherwise private derriere.  Don’t tell the generation today they may not want to expose anymore.

From saggy to criminal this is what lawmakers are addressing in many states.  While in jail they have a nice jumpsuit that has an elastic waistband to help them keep their pants up. Even an American Idol hopeful Larry Platt has a problem with the underwear exposed wearers.

Some say that we shouldn’t be allowed to tell people what to wear.  Does that mean we can’t tell them what not to wear?  Excuse me I’m not sure just how to phrase what I mean here.  I mean that soon people will be wearing nothing. Anyway, I guess it will be a case of what to wear and literally, or not to wear.

How far can we push the pants down so to speak?  What kind of society do we want?  One that is cheap or rampant with rebellion or one that follows decency?

I guess it all boils down to a case and literally a case of what are we going to protect here, the people who love indecency.  Do we draw the line on decency or do we say anything goes including nudity?  Even God clothed Adam and Eve with animal skins to cover their nakedness.

Corruption Everywhere

From the banking industry to the Presidency corruption is rampant. It doesn’t seem to even matter if the corruption is exposed, because these Powerful organizations control everything.

Most common people who end up finding out about these people of power end up dead.  Unless you are among the elite group you do not have a chance.

If you have access to the internet and can get on YouTube you can see what is truly going on right under our noses.  You have an Ex-Governor who was also a Navy Seal going around the country exposing everything.  Just do a little research and see what you and I are allowing to go on.  No one seems to be powerful enough to stop it.

The President does not rule the country alone.  We have the judicial branch of government, the legislative branch of government, and the executive branch of government.   The constitution keeps one branch from having more power than the others.  Under these past few administrations, they seem to have changed the rules and let the judicial make the laws.  This was not so in the beginning or still should not be.

The job of the legislative branch is comprised of the Senate and the House of Representatives.  They are to make the laws and vote on whether a bill should be passed as a law.  This is why it is so important that the American people search out what these bills say in totality. They approve whether someone should be a judge.  They pass the budget.  They alone have the power to declare war.  These are written in the constitution.   This is in Article I of the constitution.

The job of the judicial branch is to interpret laws and punish lawbreakers, NOT make the laws!  This is in Article III.  I wonder why some of these great men in power have murdered people not been sentenced?

The job of the executive branch is comprised of the President and his cabinet who appoints.  This is in Article II.  Some have been dangerously chosen.  His job is to appoint judges, make the state of the union address, send bills to congress.  He also commands armed forces (scary) meets with leaders of other nations. (This President meets with his Muslim friends.) Carries out and enforces laws.  (Quaking in my boots)   The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.  Gee, does that mean crimes of murder?  He really does not have as much to do with running the country as people think.  Here are few other tidbits of information from the constitution: The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted.   Hmm has this been happening during our elections?  No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

The last scary thing to mention in this blog is there are several camps set up with fences like concentration camps all around the United States.  Coffins by this 1,000’s have been exposed and then moved before they could get back to take pictures of them.  Planes are dropping things in the air to make us sick.  These elite groups of people of power are getting ready to wipe us out and put us all in concentration camps.  Just so happens these camps are set up near railroads.  Does this sound familiar to Hitler?

No, I am not a nut and if you do your homework you will find that out.  Yes in doing research you will find corruption to be everywhere.
