What happened to kindness? So many things have happened to steal kindness away from us. The number one thing is so many people cheating and lying. Lack of trust is insurmountable! Wives don’t trust husbands, husbands don’t trust wives, Parents don’t trust children, children don’t trust parents, employees don’t trust employers, employers don’t trust employees, citizens don’t trust the government and well I could go on and on. And to be fair I must say that the majority of the world does not trust God.
Now if you are one of those who are saying right now, “oh no, not a religious nut writing, well you’d be kind of close.” So if you are, no need to continue reading, it is after all your FREE choice to do so. But for those of you who would like to take a gamble and hear what I have to say and really it is what the Bible says, so here goes:
People are looking for answers to all that is going on in our world today. I will quote Psalm 33:12, “Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His own.” Does the nation you live in choose God as their Lord? I will not for the sake of this blog share the whole Psalm 33 I’ll leave that up to the reader to search it out. To me, it seems that that one verse has a lot to say about the evils of this society. We can’t mention God in our schools, in our workplaces, in our cities. We can however mention Buddha, Allah, alternative lifestyles that are totally against God.
He gathered the water of the sea into a heap. He made the great ocean stay in place. Let’s see how many scientists can explain this phenomenon. Before the flood, the earth was straight up and down and now the earth is turned at an angle. Before the flood the sky was pink, now it is blue. We lost the bubble that surrounded earth during the one and only great flood. I wonder how many of today’s schoolchildren know what the significance of the rainbow is? This year I have seen more of them than I ever have my whole life. Gorgeous rainbows are very vivid and most of them have been double rainbows.
OK, I know you are saying what does this have to do with kindness? It has all to do with it. Because we have shunned God and chose to put Him out of our nation, the people have lost all hope and have no trust in anything. Therefore we do not care about our fellow man. We have to take care of me only. People’s hearts are gripped with fear. So how can we show kindness when we can only focus on ourselves?
